Kansas had a lovely spring day with ample sunshine, given a high
pressure system overhead. Afternoon temperatures were a tad below
seasonal normals by around five to ten degrees, with values from
the upper 60s to mid 70s. Light and variable winds prevailed
through the day.

This evening will continue the great spring conditions in the
Central Plains. The arguable exception is eastern Colorado, which
has chances for showers and storms. Temperatures are forecast to
fall to the mid 40s to lower 50s. There is potential for some fog
late tonight into early Sunday morning across northeast Oklahoma.
Winds should stay light and variable overnight.

If you were unable to capitalize on outdoor enjoyment today,
Sunday will present another opportunity. It will be warmer with
temperatures in the mid 70s to lower 80s. There is a possibility
for showers and thunderstorms across eastern Colorado, western
Kansas and the Panhandles during the afternoon hours. Primarily
southerly winds will have speeds of 5 to 20 mph, with the highest
values in southwest Kansas into the Panhandles, where gusts may
reach 30 mph.
